98 Expy shakes at 60 mph
The front end of my expy shakes when I reach 60 mph and goes away once I reach 70 mph. It causes the steering wheel to shake and the passenger seat to vibrate. I have had new tires put on but it was shaking before I replaced the tires and it still shakes even with new tires. I have had the tires balanced and rotated several times and it never fixes the problem. Any other ideas as to what could be causing the shaking?
Thanks!

You might also have a bad shock or broken spring. Have you had your alignment checked? Might be some loose or broken steering components.
If you have a 4X4 you might be able to remove the rear drive shaft and drive around in 4X4 with only the front pulling the truck and see if the vibration goes away. If it does then for some reason your rear drive shaft is out of ballence or maybe more likely bent. Don't drive around too much this way tho. But normally I don't think the rear shaft would cause a front end shake.
Good Luck,

Are you sure it is the front shaking< I had the same symptoms in my F150, and found out, it was the rear end (the fluid needed to be changed, it was like 5w motor oil when drained. The vibration was going from the rear end through driveshaft to the transmission and vibrating the frame when over 60 miles an hour. After the diff oil was changed the vibration was gone.
