Question which carb?

I have a 390 in my '72 F100 and need to replace the carb, as someone has taken a ball peen hammer to the top of it and cracked it. No idea the year of the engine - got it at a wrecking yard several years ago. The carb on it has a tag on the side that says (remanufactured) 340427, Then below it smaller 1428, then below that 5337 (5104).
Could someone give me an idea of what carb to shop for? And any suggestion on where to find this would be great.

I love my little shortbed and am finally proceeding to love it into shape.
Have read that the 77-79's had power steering columns that will bolt into mine. I just acquired a tent trailor and find backing up w/o it a chore, so am thinking of upgrading.

Carb is: 2 or 4 barrel? What is the manufacturer, Autolite, Motorcraft, etc? And did you do a stroke test on your 390 when you got it, as 390's are 390's on "Sale Days", but 352/360's every other day is the saying. FE blocks look alike, so the only way to know is to check the stroke.

The original carb was a Motorcraft (Ford) 2100 series 2V (see pic below). The reman is an auto parts store replacement, the tag number you listed is not FoMoCo related.

The original FoMoCo carb ID tag number was: D2TF-GA or D2TF-HA if the truck was sold new in CA
