Ok i have a 85 6.9 push button Glow plugs trying to see if my Glow plugs Are lighting. GP are good. This is what i am getting with Multimeter. is my relay good ? see pic
As best I can tell, the relay should be working. Are you getting power at the Glowplugs when the button is pressed. Put a testlight in at a gp and check for power when the button is pressed and that should tell you if you have power to them.
OK i will try that tomorrow . Can i hook the Meter up to it and get a reading? What should the reading be ? What about the 3 amp inline fuse Should it be a 10 amp inline fuse ?

I am not sure what the voltage will be at the glowplugs but it will probably be around 7-10 volts due to the voltage drop in the gp harness, this is normal. You should be able to hook a meter up to it and check for voltage at the glowplugs without any issues. The fuse is probably fine at a 3 amp as all it is doing is powering the relay and the relay will not take much power to run.
Tested 8 harness tips 12.24v at all ends. Still Hard starting . new e pump buru GP, 2 Pete 1000 cc Batts , New starter. Starts great once started and running (restart). wouldn't the e pump prime the fuel system? No air running into the epump.
It sounds like your GPs are working fine! (did you test them with all of the leads for them disconnected? I was expecting more of an voltage drop).
What is the condtion of your battery cables? if there is any corrosion on them or the cable to the starter the starter will not be able to get enough current to spin the engine quickly.
What is your cold starting procedure? My truck likes 10 sec of GP, wait 8 sec to let them cool a bit, 10 more seconds and Full throttle and it will start 1st try everytime.
I tested 1 off 7 still on then 2 off 6 still on and so on until all 8 were tested.
Batt cables, ground, starter cables, replaced or repair with new tips. I hold them for 10 secs of for 10 on for 10 then try to start . I read the glow plug 101 before .
