Sorry I forgot that going 100+mph on a snowy road is fine as long as you have the 4x4 on to help you come to a quick stop in case of emergency.
studded snow tires and 4x4, contrary to thought 4x4 DOES help you stop faster as with the front and rear axles locked together they brake at the exact same speed. In 2wd the front will start locking up and the rear will just roll along, locked in 4x4 the rear will also start to lock when the front does thus slowing you faster then a 2wd.
perfectly straight road at night, not much that would happen there.
Also, not so much snow..as ice although there was packed snow also but a lot more black ice so more like going 100+ on an ice rink.
how about towing at 65-70 in a mild snow storm, mind you traffic is all doing the same thing. When you live half the year in snow/ice it does not slow us down much.
Anyone else's EX get to howling/droning pretty loudly at 90+? I get mine up to that speed from time to time and I want to say its the MBRP exhaust droning but I'm not too sure it is as it continues when I let off the go pedal. Sounds more rear end related. Just curious.
My tires drown out everything else at anything over 90, including but not limited to exhaust, passengers, conversations, spare change clinking in the cup holder, pursuing police sirens, nuclear zombie apocalypse, F-18's, Harley's, and (praise God) when I was married my ex-wife's screaming.
I think I might have got close to 100 a few times on some back roads during some long trips just to wake myself up a little but nothing prolonged. Honestly I'm afraid to push my little motor in the X to far, I rely on my truck for to much
