Trucks getting ready to get a contribution test hopefully it's just one or two injectors. Other then the t40 bit is their anything else special I need for this job. I've watched SR master techs videos and read up in the tech folder. Doesn't look to bad for a driveway job. Also when reading the tech folder it says mark the position of the valve cover bolts? Seemed like the video that just came right out.
One thing that is nice to have is a set of bore brushes
or at lease something to do a good job of cleaning the
bores. Also a digital camera to check to see how
clean you got them.
Remove the injector wiring harness plug assembly, using either an 18 or 19 mm socket, pushing down to release the tabs with a pop. No other way to unlock!!!
Also, when reassembling, pull the injector wires back thru their holes and lock the connecting wires back into position with the clip before putting the head cover back on. If you don't and one isn't locked and falls back under the valve cover, you have to re-start. No fun.
The 3 FICM plug assemblies are a bit tough to unlock and remove. You gotta squeeze just right to release without much room. Patience here.
When removing the drivers side coolant tank, pinch the return lines gently with a vice grip to keep from leaking.
Clean the EBP line once removed with trimmer line to ensure it's not blocked.
Once the air filter assembly is removed, check the cold side turbo line to ensure it hasn't worn close to a hole in it from the air filter assembly riding on it.
This is at idle. The only difference is at koeo ebp psi is 0
On my Insight CTS the EBP also reports 0 at KOEO and around 3 at idle and I believe this is because the CTS doesn't add atmospheric pressure to that number, so you are fine.
Ok I was just wondering reading epb talk threads. I think the highest I've seen it go is around 26 while driving
My Dashboss registers between 18-32 psi depending on throttle pressure.
Not sure what pictures you are asking for on cylinder breakdown? If numbering, odd on passenger side, even on drivers, front to back.
