Howdy Tranny help!!!
Hey there i am new to this section of the forum am coming from the 1980-86 (Bullnose). I bought a 2002 F-150 4.6 Triton Automatic, it had broken down in Barnheart, Tx well the fuel pump went out everything was fine up until then well it sat for a couple of weeks until my brother and i had time to fix it and we did but i took it out for a spin and the tranny is slipping in 2rd and wont go into 3rd. I never had any problems with it prior to but i just don't know where to start, also if i give it enough gas and get the RPM's up It will go into gear but as soon as i let off the gas it slips. Is it the transmission filter or the shift solenoids... HELP ME!!!!!

The trans is electric shift.
The circuits are monitored by the computer.
If there are no codes set or an OD light on, the issue is mechanical in the transmission.
If there is code set, what are they?
