Hi guys, I found a 2005 f250 at junkyard 4x4 vin # 1FTNX21P24ED30885 would like to take the rear springs and sway bar, will this fit my 2002 ex? Anyone know how to decode the vin? That's guys
They will fit. I'm not sure what the P code spring rate is... there are charts on this forum with that info.
Also, on the sway bar, you may want to measure it. There is a 26mm (about an inch), and a 30mm (about an inch and a quarter). The mounting hardware is the same, but the bigger bar is better for the X.
Good luck!
The SD received suspension upgrades in '05 that the Excursion never had, I would not be so sure that those springs would be a direct fit.
Hopefully, someone with more knowledge of the suspension upgrades will chime in.
The front was changed to coil springs, but the rear kept the leaf style and they're interchangeable with ours up until '08 when they went with a longer leaf. I believe they changed the code rating in '05 (a B code was changed to a ?? code, same spring). Just to keep things confusing, apparently!

I ran the vin and it was built with B Code rear springs with the overload. Hard to say if they are still on the vehicle. Looks like it's an even smaller rear stab bar also, ~18.5 mm.

jpr38057, what are the specs on a P code?
My Ford parts look up doesn't give me the specs.
Not sure what lookup you are using but looking at the build sheet from Ford it is built with a P code rear spring, not a B. The P spring has an overload, the B code spring for the 2004 F250 did not have an overload.

I'm using a Ford system to look this up. The rear spring part number tied to that vin has the same specs as a B. Does your book list a part number for the P code?

3C3Z-5560-CA is the part # for the spring per the vin given and is showing a P code. That also is the same part # given by HVBOM.
3C3Z-5560-BA is the part # listed for a B code on a 2004 F250.
4C3Z-5560-MA is the part # listed for a X code spring on a 2004 F250.

First two springs have the same primary and secondary rates with the exception being the -CA has an over load. I'm using HVBOM but have also read the prints.
