I don't know about stupid, Rossi is making one and it looks like it could be a lot of fun. However, I would never shoot a 320 grain round through a Rossi, hence the reason I was looking into doing a custom Ruger.
Here is a video review of the Rossi being shot down under. Enjoy!
As for 10mm, I've read where the Glock 21 in .45 acp can be converted to 10mm with just a couple of parts. (Conversion barrel, recoil spring assembly and the magazine[s] IF memory serves me.)
I'd like to try that. Might have to find that article, then get the parts.
Don't even need any conversion parts. Just the barrel and the magazine. Fits right in nicely. I think the barrel is 6"....as it was origally intended for hunting pistol conversion (10mm makes a nice deer round)......and some states have a min barrel length law for pistols and hunting.......
That just lets the bears know that dinner is on the way, doesn't it?
With hot sauce! It's really amazing how dangerous critters can be, even ones that don't have a reputation for it. Recently somebody was killed by an Anteater, apparently they have some serious front claws.
Lewis & Clark, on their expedition of 1804-1806 had heard about the "white bears" and at first, determined their reputation had been greatly exaggerated. Then they started running into lots of them, and the bears would just immediately charge at them, start tracking them after circling behind them, and taking several rounds from .54 cal rifles before taking a dirt nap.
Back in '79, my wife said that she didn't care what revolver I bought.
A local gunshop had a 4" Python sitting in his showcase, and a S&W mdl 19 w/ 4" barrel sitting right beside it.
The mdl 19 was $247.95, and the Python was $335.99.
On my salary, I couldn't justify spending the extra $$$ on the Python.
That mdl 19 that I bought has now got over 15,000 rounds through it.
I've been slowly building up my .22LR stash over the past few months for my little plinker. It's an old H&R Model 949 9-shot, double action, revolver that was my grandfathers' and was passed down to me. The front sight is screwed up (my granddad decided to file it down in an attempt to make it level with the bottom of the "U" in the rear sight - he didn't get it right.) Since it's basically just a little "point-'n-shoot" plinker, I don't figure aiming is all that terribly critical - I have it figured out well enough to be able to hit a tennis ball from about 20-feet - that's good enough...

I have the same little plinker. My dad taught me to shoot with it, and my kids are going to learn with it as well. Be aware, there is a little plastic part inside, mine ended up coming apart and the gun stopped functioning. the plastic works with the trigger spring. There is a metal replacement out there. It was cheap and I have not had an issue since.
Honestly I was surprised to see plastic in such an old gun, but there it was...
