Sorry for your loss. We have been through that feeling a number of times over the years....but we are suckers for a stray or rescue dog, so we always end up having two furry members of the family. When we lose one, the other dog is usually pretty sad for quite a while too. We have been very lucky with the local German Shepherd Rescue organization. In fact, we have fostered a couple of dogs for them over the years. My heart goes out to you.
