I need some input, please. I bought a 1993 S10 T5, 1352-222. I opened it for inspection to discover the input shaft gear missing a few teeth. WC part number is 1352-085-045. I found a NWC input shaft 1352-085-003. What are your opinions/experiences on using this? It appears to be the same in the pics I've seen. They both have 21 teeth and are the same length and spline count. I understand there are some metallurgical differences.
My S10 T5 is numbered 1352-222. It has the Muncie/Saginaw bolt pattern with Timken bearing showing on the countershaft. It is complete with fiber synchronizers. At first, I thought I had something unique, but I have read multiple blogs that mention this hybrid. This morning I saw very good pictures showing one (1352-232). I appreciate your input. I wish I could get a larger consensus.
Anyone know if the S10 T10 has to be from a v6 truck to fit the flathead adapter?
I have a 1995 S10 trans that was behind a 4 cylinder engine and I am hoping it can be used behind the flathead v8.

4 and 6 cylinders have the same 1" input shaft. it's the v8's that have the bigger input shaft and 26 spline count.
'93 -'95 S10 T-5's are all WC, whether behind the V6 or 4-banger, but most of them have a Ford bolt pattern to bellhousing, also all are electronic speedo. They just need a different adapter than the typical Speedway model. Cornhusker sells one, "Cruisetopdown" on here used that. I'm pretty sure the V6 T-5's are integral BH, too.
I bought a T5 from picknpull but I can't remember if it was a 92 or 93. I know it has electronic speedo. How do I tell if it has the ford bolt pattern. I guess I should write these things down but you never think it is going to take so long to get things done.

below the input shaft retainer is what looks like a freeze plug. NWC (92 and older S10) is a one piece cap. WC (93 and newer) is a 2 piece cap and is recessed in the center.
