Please assist me with this problem

I am new to this sight , I have a 1989 Ford F150 4.9 300 straight 6. OK here we go , it just stopped running on me . I have rebuilt the distributor pickup and control module . new plugs , new ECM , New injectors, new front rail fuel pump the one in the tank is working. New EGR valve. I am showing 50 psi of fuel pressure at the rail . but it wont start. I have put a noid light on the injectors to test them they are flashing. My truck has spark, the timing is TDC ,you can spray starter fluid into the throttle body and as long as you keep doing that it runs like a sewing machine. But it refuses to start under its normal conditions. Oh I can place my hand over the throttle body chocking it out it WILL start but no throttle action and I have to keep my hand there or it dies. PLEASE help me figure this very costly problem out I'm like $1000 in parts now THANK YOU

50 PSI should be plenty. Injectors are firing so yes that means the computer sees the PIP signal, your ignition module and distributor pickup are working.

How did you rebuild the ICM (control module)? You mean replaced it?

How many degrees from TDC is your timing?

Does it even try to fire without using starting fluid?

How long did it set before you started working on it? If it's been a while, check for creatures building a home inside your exhaust... it's happened before.

Thank you for the fast reply. It is setting dead on TDC . Just replaced the control module with a new one. And if you pump the peddle very fast it try's to start . If you turn the switch off an on like 3 times it will start for like 5 seconds then go dead again. Any more help would be greatly appreciated .

Ah, there's your problem. You want to set the timing to 10° BTDC (Before TDC), that should get it going. You can play with the timing after that if you like.

Don't forget to remove the SPOUT jumper before setting your timing.
