Yesterday I put a deposit on a 2015 KR dually with the factory 5th wheel/GN prep package 53W. Will my B&W turnover ball and companion hitch fit this?
Salesman says yes, but his lips were moving, so I don't know for sure.

Will it work with the Reese underbed stuff, no. You need the OEM Ford base for the B&W to use it. You could contact B&W to see if they will sell you just the base, allowing you to reuse the head you already have.
If the hitch is from a superduty already, you you could take all the Reese stuff out, and install the B&W hitch, but you'll be left with extra holes in the bed floor. But that's a waste, IMO.

Do understand........95% of the salesmen:
-- Do NOT care about you....only making money.
-- Do NOT know much about towing.
-- Do NOT fully know the details of the truck they are selling.
This really is true.........
The Ford Factory 5th wheel / gooseneck prep package puts a steel structure under the bed for use with 5th wheel hitches specially made for this system, and Gooseneck ball specially made for this system.
1. -- The 5th wheel hitch made for this system attaches to the underbed structure using what has become known as a "Puck" system.

The Ford - Reese hitch is what you get if you order the 5th wheel hitch from the factory. Much more money than B&W.
I have used the B&W system on two trucks and am very impressed with it. I do like the Ford underbed structure system paired with the B&W hitch.
2. -- The gooseneck ball: The ONLY source for the gooseneck ball that will work with the Ford's underbed structure....Is from Ford.
So, I ordered the Ford Prep Package and the Ford Gooseneck Package. I am buying the B&W Puck 5th wheel hitch.
My current B&W 5th wheel Companion Hitch will Not work with Ford's prep package.
Hope I was of some help
Roy
Hahaha. So true!!! How does one know if a salesman is lying???? If his lips are moving!!!!
OK. I think I am just going to have to sell the companion hitch and go with a Ford system then.

I am selling mine with the truck. (2011 F-350)
Changing trucks is not cheap........
I told the wifey that I was going to have to sell my body on the street corner to afford all the goodies for the new truck.......
She (wisely) suggested that we could find another way.........
I might end up trading mine in too. The only item I am going to leave with the truck is the B&W Hitch. I can't use it on the new one if I choose to go with the Ford 5th wheel / gooseneck prep system. I did decide to go with the Ford Prep system. I'll get a B&W Puck 5th wheel hitch for the new truck.
I'm with Sailor Roy. I think the hot ticket would be the B&W puck mount on the factory prep kit.
Roy, does the factory gooseneck use an under bed ball release like B&W ?

To my understanding.......No.
The gooseneck ball has a locking system built into the ball itself.
The 5th wheel hitch also has a locking system built into it.
Yes the ford ball has a locking system on the top. You lift it and then on the side there are roller ball type pins that recess. You can then lift or put the ball in the hole.
The locking system on top of the ball is really easy.
There is no concern with it interfering with the hitch.
Thanks, I know what you are describing. It has retractable detents built into the ball. Thats actually pretty convenient, I would think. One of these days I'm going to fall out of the back of my truck trying to reach around into the fender well to pull my release.

I am not that brave........
I pull and lock the lever........then climb in and pull the ball.
