Engine Swap

I am new at this so forgive me. I am swapping out a 5.8L engine from a 1995 Fords F-250 for a Miked/Balanced 1980 7.5 L engine with a Durosparke II Madule. Can anybody tell me what to remove (Electricaly) beside the ECM.

So the 460 you are putting in will be carbed? If so then you can remove all the EFI wiring and computer as it won't be needed, and you will also be replacing the transmission with something else because the 460 won't mate with a small block trans, and of course engine mounts will also be different and you will need to install a bypass regulator to bring fuel pressure down to carb friendly levels.

Engine swap

Thank you for the information,I had to buy a new fly wheel and clutch to fit a 1996 ZF transmission that came off a 1996 F-350 with a 7.5L EFI engine, also the drive shafts. So far so good Now I have to figure out were the three red wire go on the 1995 igintion switch. I have the diagrams for the 1981 Bronco ignition switch that the 460 was in but it is different then the 1995 igintion switch digram?

In answer to your thread The engine, Transmission, Driveline, Fuelpumps, and fuel regulator are in. What I was looking for is how to incorpporate all the Durosparke II wiring into the existing 5.8L EFI wiring. Some diagram say to conect to the pink wire on the starter switch but on the 1995 switch all I can find is a R/LG and R/LB no Pink?
Thank you for any other information you can provide.

New to this! But want suggestions!

Hi I have a 01 f150 with 285,000 miles. Original motor and auto tranny. 5.4 engine with an SCT chip, shorty headers, super44 flowmaster dual exhaust, and a K&N cold air kit. On a 4" lift. On 22" wheels. And 305/44/r22 off-road nittos. Truck means a lot to me I want to upgrade it instead of buy a new truck. I'd like a better engine, 4x4 conversion and a 6 speed manual tranny. I've been told too many times that's ridiculous but it's worth it to me. Any suggestions?!

Have you started your own thread?

Lots of options, your emissions regulations will be the ultimate limiting factor of which engines you can use though. 5.4 is not a powerhouse, but a supercharger is probably your easiest path to something that has more *****. There are zf6s (came in f250/350s) that will bolt right up to your engine but you will likely need to modify your trans tunnel.
