axle swap question

Hey, got a few questions. I'm looking to buy a '97 F250 4x4 with a C5 axle which I understand is 4.10 LS. My other truck, a '88 F250 has a 3.55 LS. Can these axles be easily swapped? The '88 ismy diesel hauling truck, the97 has a 351 and will be my daily driver if I buy it. If possible, a swap would be perfect. Better towing in the diesel better mpgs in the 351. If it can be done how big of a job is it? Thanks.

Yes it can be done but both front and rear axles have to be changed if you want functional 4wd systems.
