limited expeditions should come with a factory 8" (at least the 2005s did). It's about 150-200 peak watts and it actually bangs pretty good. Most people just buy a nice SHALLOW, I'm pretty sure you have to use shallow subs less than 6" deep so it will fit. And then the amp depends on its size. You might have to get creative to fit it in the truck too as the space behind the rear panels is pretty much full.
I've actually seen someone strip the car til metal and wires remained and then they built it and put the wires and amp in. He put it under the middle 2nd row seat but I don't think I'd like that
Factory has sub/amp together. If you are interested in it I'll let it go for cheap as I replaced it with the JL box (pictured) immediately (when the truck was still brand new). I've heard the boxes will fix the shorter ones too, you'll just have to find a different place for an aftermarket amp.
I appreciate the offer but since I posted the question I've bought a truck and given the Expy to my wife. She has no interest in adding a sub so I'm just going to leave it be.
