56 Panel Running Board Brackets
Seems I read somewhere on here that 56 Panels have different running board brackets than the pickups. The PO torched mine off 
and installed side pipes (makes getting in and out fun). So before I buy some at a swap meet or on line I want to be sure they'll fit. Will 53-55's work

the running board brackets pickup to panel are the same for 56 EXCEPT on the rear running board bracket near the frame there is a little bracket that is for the body mount
If you use pickup brackets you will have to modify/make the body mount.
Unless he left that part still in the frame, then you could transfer it to the replacement brackets

they are not the same but they will work. and if they are 53-55 panel brackets they will have the body mount on them. if they are pickup they will not.
