Has anyone taken off their front bumper on their 05ish E series before?
I have the factory manual and it just says to loosen the nuts. Well when I tried to loosen the first nut (and have not moved on yet) the whole nut/bolt assembly just spins and I cannot figure out how I can get a wrench on the front of the front since it is not visible at all.
The stud is turning in the plastic spacer. You cannot get to the backside. I cut mine out with a torch. You have to buy the whole spacer from Ford. Have fun!!

So even if I get the actual metal bumper skin off by unbolting the 4 small bolts per side that hold the bumper to a mount, I still cannot get to the head of the bolts going through the mount?
Well, finally got the bumper off and my front hitch installed. I ended up drilling out part of the bumper support piece that the bolt was spinning in and then was able to lift off that part and rotate to get it free. Then I ground the stubborn bolt till it fell out. I just used a replacement bolt with washers on it and it is working great. Glad that job is done!
