I am wondering what width of diff i need or need to make one to fit these 295's on my 55 f100?
I want a ford 9" if possible, do any have the yoke in the center ?
I may not understand the question right. What are the 295's?
9" ford yoke most always 1 3/4 off center, to center yoke in frame tubes and axles have to be altered.
An axle assembly out of a 64-65 ford f-100 pick-up is a direct bolt in with same wheel bolt pattern. This differential allows the changing of gear ratio by simply changing the third member or building the one ya got with it.
Hope this helps still not clear on what the question is

Reason: additional info
I am running a 275 rear tire on my 50 F1 with a 9" out of a 68 F100 and I have enough clearance to make 295's work. The main thing you will have to determine is whether the axle width works with the backspacing on your wheels to center the tire in the opening between the outer fender lip and the inner bed wall/frame.
With that bit of info, I am now guessing you have the stock rear end. Stock rear end is 61.25 outside hub to outside hub.
The tire you are wanting to use is a 295X???
I believe the stock wheels were 6.00X16.6 or 6.00X16.4
The recommended width of the 295's are 10-12"
More info needed to be more accurite.
Going that all is stock, to use the 295X???, new wheels with a backset of 5 1/2 inches should work. Verify this with actual rear installed

Coker site will have a tech sheet on how to determine backspace or quite a few tire sites will also

Reason: more info
my '54 has 11 inches inside the rear fender wells so I don't see how 295s will fit. My rear springs have a little side sway so 235s on wheels with no offset on a 8.8 with 1/4" spacers rub a little in the corners. I need to get 1/2" spacers and add a panhard. The bed side walls are 49 inches outside to outside (about the same as the inside dimension) so center to center of the wells is 60 inches.
