I just installed a cowl lacing "kit" from LMC and it's junk. The clips did not line up with the holes and even after I moved the clips the thing didn't create a seal. I'm only out $10, but it's completely useless.
Does anyone know a good source for cowl lacing? If not I might try to improvise something. Any tips?
Many of us have paid the price and only been screwed by poorly make rubber products from LMC. And have spent hundreds of dollars on only to have had to replace 99% of it.
I got a hood cowl seal from DC soon after repainting my truck in 1995.
I check it ever so often for any splitting at the top edge, it still looks as good as the day I installed it..

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Ford truck parts catalog only lists one: C7TZ-16740-B see pic below:
ND or anyone for that matter anyone.... Do you know if the 1967 F100 trucks have metal brackets at each corner that hold the cowl lacing like the old 65-66 Mustangs or is the cowl lacing simpling held by those plastic clips?

Looks like according to Bill's pic above there is a screw at the end. I have not messed with my 68's yet.
