I recently purchased a 2003 F 250 crew cab 6.0 King Ranch. The truck had a sticker on the driver's door window stating that the truck had been selected for testing. Can anyone tell me what kind of testing was done on the truck. The odometer read 63 miles at delivery including a short test drive by me. I now have about 1500 miles on the unit and it has been perfect so far.
Thanks.
Ford selects a few vehicles each day for an audit of quality. They call it a nova (I'm not sure what that acronym stands for). It is used to monitor current quality from their assembly lines and to see if there are problems that they need to look in to.
Maybe there is a Ford employee that can give us a more concise defination on this subject.

Hey look on the upside at least you know that it passed!
What happens is a test drive. There is a list of things the driver(tester) is looking, listening, feeling in road manners, etc. for. After the drive, the truck may be re"roll tested" depending on test drive evaluation by driver. Roll testing is done to every vehicle off the line. It checks to make sure engine/trans/electrical/computer systems are operating in a preset range of acceptibility. If your truck was selected for testing, I'm jealous!!! It was gone over with alot more care than the avg. vehicle. If anything was even remotely questionable, it was changed or repaired, then retested. It should be a higher quality truck for you. P.S., I work at the St.Louis Assembly Plant for Explorers/Mountianeers/ Lincoln Aviator's. A friend of mine does the road testing/evaluations there and has given me a little insight on it.
