My $300 van has two problems!
Hello and thank you guys for accepting me!
I bought a 93 E-250 for $300, runs and drives.
After a 3,000 mile road trip I have two issues.
1. The gas gauge is stuck on full.... kinda. It will read 3/4 when off, drop to where I think is an accurate reading upon start up (while turning over) and go back to full when running.
Anyone know what is going on?
2. Recently, when I start it, it will idle horribly then die. This happens in about 3 seconds. After I start it a second time, it's completely fine. Upon research it looks like my EGR is dirty or needs replacing.
Does this sound correct?
It has the 4.9 Incline 6 with 137,000 miles on it currently.
