another reverse hood tilt question
At the Shades of the Past rod run in Pigeon Forge Tn, I looked at a 56 F100 with a reverse tilt hood set-up. Actually I looked at more than one , but one was different from the others. It had the old pivot pin in the very front of the hood corner and in the fender style like I have seen before. I had read that this set-up has problems like not tilting forward enough and the hood hitting the grill. The one I looked at didn't seem to have any such problems. It also had power rams to tilt the hood. I don't think I would do the power tilt part, but I like the simple, no extra parts added design of the pivot points. Who has tried doing it that way? I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.
