Exhaust Pipe
Has anyone ever had sound issues in the cab from changing out their stock down pipe to a 3" pipe? I did mine and it is 10 times louder in the cab it. Looks like I need to bend away some heat shielding from the pipe that's on the firewall. Also wondering if any additional in-cab sound deadening material under the carpet would help out with this, it seems to be that the sound is coming from one spot in the floor.

Sounds like your DP is rubbing on the firewall. Use a porta power and shove it away more.

You're right it was. That's strange how such a small point of contact can resonate so much sound. I don't have a porta power but I shoved a large screw driver between the pipe and heat shielding and wallowed it around and voila, it worked, think I may not need to do much anymore for noise suppression. The cab mount kit sounds cool to that you talked about on your other thread, my cab sags a little to. That sound proofing job you did looks excellent to! That's gotta be really quiet in there now.
