when i've pass my van whith a code reader (because i've a problem sometimes with my transmission 1er and 2eme ) a code 628 said me : problem whith converter (excessive torque converter slippage ) my transmission is a E4OD
but my problem are where is possible bought this converter for europa (france)
i see everywhere in france but nothing !!! they're a factory in usa envoi for europa whith normal price ? ( i now rockauto but nothing whith them )
I have seen that kind of code before on later model Ford truck transmissions when a sensor is bad or unplugged. One is monitoring the output shaft speed; the other is monitoring the converter speed. Be careful about replacing the converter.
yes i think that , but i look a solenoid in a case oil and no problem , my solenoid walk same whith on/off overdrive ...the sensor is ok and unplugged
they're a "clac"(strong) when a change speed , i can start slowly or quickly it's same !!!
the last time i dowm of my home (i live in a mountain) and my transmission walk perfect , i think a lock inside unlocked whith pressure when my truck down ..
and now my transmisssion are ready !!
the last time she walk one moment and beging same ...
the witness check engine come only i accelerate....never in a slow motion
i seen is preferable change whith a converter reinforce

Neither of those sensors were present on a 1995. 1999 was the first year for those sensors.
