Still having a problem with Sync.
Now, the first time I go from reverse to forward, the screen freezes.
All of the other times I cycle from reverse to forward without turning the engine off, it works fine.
Weird
My 2015 is doing the exact same thing. Very annoying.
I'm still having this problem.
As you can see from this thread, a Ford engineer asked me about it.
I gave them all request information and haven't heard from them since!
Must be Quality is no longer Job 1 at Ford!

Hey Crumm and Larry Straight,
I'm Kim. I'm one of the In-Vehicle Technology representatives that monitors this forum now.
I might add even though I don't know if it's related or a separate problem all together but the navigation is normally about 1/2 mile or more off. It shows me driving across rivers and out through the woods most of the time. Sometimes if I pull the sd card and plug it back in a few minutes later it will work for a little while but then ends up wandering off track again. If I punched in a destination and then followed the course it shows I would be putting the off road capabilities of the truck to a real test.

I recommend scheduling an appointment with your preferred Ford dealer about the GPS concern. Although off-roading can be fun, the navigation system is not designed to encourage it.
Have them take a look at the screen freezing issue as well. It may be helpful to bring your phone to the appointment.

Hi Skip1970,
SYNC 3 will be launched in 2015. Ford hasn't released specific information about when each model will make the switch yet. I am unable to speculate on future updates, but you can find more information about SYNC 3 here: Introducing SYNC 3 | Ford.com

Will vehicles with the current system get a update to the new system?

Great! Let me know how the dealership visit goes.
SYNC 3 includes new hardware along with new software. It will not be available to current owners.
