Hey guys we swapped a new motor Into my 1990 f250 and during the swap the o2 wiring just got cut when we took the exhaust off. Now the truck just has 2 wires hanging down and the exhaust has a o2 sensor with a connector. I guess my question is how do I find out which wires are which when I want to put a new connector on.
Any ideas? Can I just cut the connecter off the 02 sensor and use butt connectors to splice them together? Does it matter which one more goes to which?
You could try finding the o2 sensor wire at a salvage yard. On my '90 it was loomed in with the hot starter cable and plugs in to the main harness near the battery.
OK thanks. Never did look to see if the two. wires were color coded maybe I can just go to a JY and see if a certain color goes to a certain side of the connector
