>The garage, called and left a message saying that the #7 plug was bad (Yeeeeaaaah I knew that) and since it was going to be about 4 hours labor to get to it, wanted to know if I should consider just doing them all. <o

>4 hours labor? WHAT? Unless I am mistaken, the plug is easily accessible with the passenger side front tire off and the wheel well skirt removed.<o

>Just looking for some confirmation here. I haven't stuck my head into the engine compartment to eyeball #7, but from what I have read in the past, the job SOUNDS like it should be a straight forward affair. <o

>The other thing that ticks me off is that this garage has been EXCELLENT in taking care of my needs with this truck. <o

>What's your input? I want to get this done this weekend. Am I in for a fight with #7 glow plug? Or is this the straight forward job that it appears to be?
I am aware of the fragility of the harness and have a method to remove the connector from the plug. <o

Second pull the fender liner makes the job go so much smoother as you noted.
Third just buy the wire loom for the glow plugs prior to starting the project I tried the wire method to remove still broke 1 connector.
Fourth small hands help a bunch, wife, teenage kid whatever you have available it helped me a bunch!!!
Crap......
I was careful, got the liner out of the way and Viola, there it was. I began lifting the #7 connector with the tool and the bottom separated from the rest of the connector. I couldn't believe it. It looks like I can reuse the connector. But the bottom "flange" is separated. I left it where it was and didn't change the glow plug out while I decide if I am just going to have the harness replaced and all the passenger side plugs R&R'ed or try it as it is.
Sigh....
The best laid plans...
