When I press the brake pedal the truck pulls to the left. I know the problem is on the right side but I am having problems finding the cause.
I have replaced the wheel cylinders and springs on both sides. The truck still pulls to the left. No change.
The flex hoses are less than 2 years old. I had them made by a company that makes hydraulic hoses. They have a good reputation in our area.
I did find that my ball joints on the passenger side are worn out. I get about 1/8 to about 3/16 of movement out of them when the tire is off and the truck is on jack stands.
Could the worn out ball joints on the passenger side cause the truck to pull to the left?
USUALLY a hard pull shows a problem in the front brakes and the rear brakes not so hard. Could be as simple as adjustment. Check the adjustment on all 4 corners. Brakes bleed good? R/R,then L/R,R/F, L/F? I would pull the drums both sides and inspect since nothing found evident with the R/S. Maybe something came loose in there so the left side is actually grabbing More than Normal. Cocking shoe or whatever.
