Am I looking for an odd part or was my valve cover changed out at one point? Any Ideas? NumberDummy, help a guy out?

In order to use a push-on cap with a twist on cap type valve cover, an adapter (C5AZ-6A868-A) is required.
The adapter twists into the valve cover, has a neck on it that the cap pushes onto.
