Who's Running VXCF4HB?

I've googled this and found a few answers, but I'd like to know who's running VXCF4HB and your experience with it.

How does it perform overall?

What do you average city/highway?

Is this an inductive heating flash?

Does it seem to respond well to your tunes?

I also ask becuase a buddy has this strategy on a truck he bought to replace his stolen 2007 F350 (it had VXCF4X3) and was possibly considering getting a FICM tune or updating.

It's the best base PCM tuning strategy for the 05 and up trucks. Doesn't matter if it has inductive heat or not if he's going to tune the FICM.

What is between them?

Maybe someone can post a link to the list of
all the updates and what years they go with.

Agreed. I've seen one such list, and I learned WAY early on in the 6.0 "game" that for every flash Ford releases there are literally hundreds that never get released because they have to be approved by the EPA first.

Yes, a little actually

My buddy needed a FICM bad, so I gave him my old one to send off to be repaired and upgraded. (I happened into one of Ed's Ultra's with the Atlas 40) Once it was fixed, I ended up with his old one that needed to be repaired, but has a better stock FICM strategy than what I had. So I'll have it repaired and keep it as a spare.

PHP used to have a decent list in their forums before they dropped that.

Overall off the top of my head;

2005 strategy was VXCF0 and VXCF1.

2006 strategy should be VXCF2 and VXCF3.

VXCF4 was available in October 2006 along with the Post-Cycle "Buzz" FICM flash.

The FICM killer was February 2007 along with VXCF5

VXCF7 date unknown to me.

VXCF9 was November 2009.

Not sure I have ever heard of VXCF6 or VXCF8. And hardly anyone mentions VXCF0, 2 or 3. VXCF4, VXCF7 and VXCF9 seem to be the most common these days.

How do you figure out what you've got? Is it a good idea to go to the dealer to get the latest update?

An SCT or something similar will tell you what the strategy is.

If you're getting good fuel economy and power leave it alone. It may turn with the later strategies.
