Rear axle question
I am posting this for a friend. He has a 1999 F-150 with the 8.8 rear which now has a cracked housing from a recent explosion. His truck has rear disc brakes and he wants to know if a drum brake rear will fit and allow him to install the rear discs on it.
Axle code is 829A and it is a 3.55 gear, 31 spline axles.
Any help would be appreciated.
