As an update to this thread, I completed the Cummins/5R110 swap into my bus. The 5R110 uses a stock 2004 factory computer as a standalone with mods and tuning by Custom Vehicle Services. Even the Tow/Haul mode is functional. Very happy with the results.

I know this is an older post but I’m currently in the process of trying to put a 5R110W in my 89 Ford E250. What Cummins engine did you wind up using for this conversion? Would love some pro tips from somebody who’s already done it!
