So the same thing with both old and new Baro sensors? That's weird, seems like it would have to be the harness then. I feel like we're missing something easy here...

Sorry rusty poor explanation on my end!

I only changed out the MAP sensor as that's all I could get my hands on tonight.

I will have the new EBP sensor tomorrow-what I find strange is the sensor changes readings as driving-which to me would mean the sensor is working?

The BARO sensor I will have Wednesday.

I think I have a copy of ALL the X-gauge threads lol, I looked through them and did find one alternate BAR gauge that may be worth a try.

Barometric Pressure

TXD: 07E0221127

RXF: 046285110627

RXD: 3008

MTH: 003100500000

NAM: BMP

Here is another BAR if the above one is not working for you. The one below works for me.
Barometric Pressure (PSI)
TXD: 07E0221442
RXF: 046285140642
RXD: 3010
MTH: 001D00500000
NAM: BAR

WOW rusty I am an idiot. I guess that's what I get for rushing. I entered the info into my scan gauge Incorrectly. Damn.

This is with the BARO sensor plugged in

This is with the BARO sensor unplugged

I feel like such a jack *** entering the codes in wrong. Damn it what a waste of time.

I guess it's safe to assume at this point the EBP sensor is toast?

I really do appreciate your help!!

Yes sir! That would be my next step. With the -.5 bias I would expect EBP to be a little lower than Baro or MAP. Hope that fixes it.

You're welcome. Hope that turns out to be the issue, if not, you still need correct EBP numbers to troubleshoot further so on the right track anyway. Did you clean the EBP tube when you cleaned the sensor? If not you may want to run some weed eater line or something through there while the sensor is off just to make sure it's clear.

I'd try a wiggle test on the ebp harness n wiring koeo. Watch for it to change. I had one last week that was showing 11.1,,, anyone guess what happened with that truck?? PCM tried to pick up the slack for low ebp,, fried the unison ring and actuator arm over boosting,,, and toasted the hg's. At least your numbers (at 18 koeo) will cause UNDER boost. That's HG safe.

Yeah, I tried that. I'm going to see if I can get a new pig tail for that sensor and replace that as well

I probably smoked the EBP sensor when I used brake cleaner to clean out the sensor-I have the new EBP sensor in hand-just have to wait until 6 to put it in.
