i have a 1976 ford f100 with a 351m, if i install dual exhaust with glasspacks will it be loud enough to be annoying? i only want a good rumbling sound, not a very loud exhaust

Can't really answer your question, still working on getting that "mustang Gt" sound from mine. Just don't want to go spending $ on stuff that won't help. I've got heddmans into 2.25 collectors, then (autozone) turbo 2 muffs, then out the sides. No H pipe, 2.25 all the way. I've got pronounced "popping" on light accel. It's slightly louder than I would like, but no so loud as to wake the neigbors. And almost silent once cruising speed is reached. I've read that adding "tips" will help reduce the popping sound and give a deeper rumble and am fixin to get to it, just would like some confirmation on expected results.

Any recomnedations for us guys?

hey guys iv'e been trying to get my exhaust to sound right 4 a while now and man...tried straight pipes with cats and was 2loud and rouhg sounding then straight pipes without cats even worse then now i have no cats and red hots (glaspaks) with duals to the rear and 4and half inch tips(echo chamber) and i am still not satisfied.i feel glasspaks sound great on chevy.i am right now trying to find out which sereis of flowmasters pack that strong crackel,rumble.someone says that the 40 sereis flowmaster is the one.i am going to try the flowmaster .. hope i was some help althouhg we seem 2b asking the same question.

My buddy has true dual with glasspacks on his dodge 360 and that thing is loud, but he is running 2 in. so that makes it louder. If your going for a low rumble go as big exhaust as you can, it also depends on what kind of glass packs you are using.

I HAVE THE REDHOTS BY FLOWTECH AND THEY GIVE A PRRRRRRRRR SOUND BUT LOUD .
