OK, so after a long hiatus from the project, I found a retired guy who still likes to work on old cars and trucks. He's helping my put "Old Blue" back-together again. We're ready to put the trans on the engine and the whole thing on the chassis. I can not for the life of me find my flexplate bolts or the rear transmount bolt.
I think from searching this forum, there's really nothing "special" about the trans mount bolt, it's basically a grade 8 bolt with a nylock nut.
What about the flexplate bolts? I see in my parts catalog that Ford used either a 3/4" or 1" bolt, and that I should "Use the original hardware to determine what I need." Well, I can not FIND the original hardware. How do I determine if I need 3/4 or 1" Does it matter? Are these just Grade 8 bolts too?
Any/all help, always appreciated, of course! Thanks!

Here's what the Ford parts catalog says. There are two possibilities for the flexplate bolts.
The first is P/N C3AZ-6379-B; 7/16"-20 X 13/16" this is used when you're also using the B9AZ-6A366-B reinforcing ring. The second choice is P/N D2AZ-6379-B; 7/16"-20 X 23/32" for use when you aren't using the reinforcing ring.
I'm not a 100% certain, I don't have any for comparison, but I believe these are thin head bolts.
Ah! Thanks! I have no reinforcing ring, so short bolts. That makes sense! Now that you mention low-profile bolt heads I seem to recall that from disassembly. The hunt begins.
So, after I found what I needed (on Amazon.com of all places). I found my old bolts. Fortunately the new ones were only $3.99. They're not specifically called-out as fitting my application, but they're the same, except being 1/32" shorter.
