I've found another truck that needed to come home with me. It's a '94 F150 XLT 4X4 extended cab with 8' bed and a 5.0L. The brakes are junk and am replacing them. Problem is the rock shields on both sides have rusted off. None of the local bone yards have anything worth the time to pull, and Dorman doesn't list any thing. I've never had anything on the road with out them before. Any one who might sell them? How important are they? (I live on County gravel)

Thanks in advance
I wouldn't say they are necessary since they rusted away on the 93 years ago and we've never replaced them. They are also rusted bad on my 97 and honestly I'm not even worried about it.
A stone got caught in there one time over the years and we drive a lot of dirt and gravel roads(plus the street we live on is dirt). It made a horrible grinding sound for about 10 yards, and by then the stone was already out.
I've always left them off axles when I've torn them down and haven't ever had any issues, even on dedicated trail rigs. In the Midwest most of them have rusted off anyway.
