Shifting issue or motor
I have an F250 4x4 with the 460EFI motor, auto trans with an over drive.
When I'm driving at about 1500rbm and over 40mph, I can feel the truck surge like it wants to go into another gear or something. It's a surging feeling in the truck, no sound or change in RPM.
If I give some gas it stops and you don't feel it.
It doesn't do this all the time when I drive it.
It also doesn't seem to do this with the overdrive off.
Transmission issue?
Just the way a big truck drives?
Any ideas from the pros?
