trouble code 0401 help

trouble code 0401 help

I have replaced the Egr and the EVR components and the SES light still comes on. Whats next ? Do I need to reset the computer with a reader or is removing battery power the same thing? Thanks

Disconnect the battery overnight to clear the computer's memory. It's probably a lot less than that, but just to be safe, do it overnight.

The most common cause of a P0401 is a bad DPFE sensor.
Ask your dealer about extended coverage on it.

trouble code 0401 help

I replaced the DPFE sensor a few days ago and the SES did not come back on. When I removed the old metal sensor You could see a brownish - white build-up on the smaller inlet which most likely caused the SES. The new part is made of plastic. Thanks for help !!!!!
