Window divider felts
Hey all,
For all you 48-50 owners, I was looking at the door glass divider bars and LMC wants $40 each. It appears that they come with the felt guides riveted to the main bar and you can't buy them separately. My bars are in perfect shape except for the felt which has long since fallen away. What have you used in the past as a substitute? I was thinking about using some of that gray car trunk material that you find in your local wrecking yard. I know that the material needs to be cushioning but at the same time hard enough to withstand the friction of the window sliding up and down, and I think that stuff should fit the bill.

I rebuilt the ones for my COE.......I used the divider channels from a 57-59 Ford car. They are the correct dimension only longer and have the bead on the edges.
I replaced the vent window edge seal as well. Probably not much cheaper, but I had the leftover parts laying around.....
