i just put a fresh C6 behind a 351M and when I put it in drive she idles high, and tries to take off. it does not do it in reverse. I tried different combinations with the vacuum lines. I even tried to plug all vacuum line outlets. Any Ideas?
Just about everything. Two and a half turns on mix. Plugged and unplugged vacuum. I'm starting to think Mabe a locked up torque converter. She idles fine in park. Handles we'll in reverse. But in drive, she takes off like a raped ape.
I put an egr delete/ spacer plate off of a 74. Mabe it's leaking air
Okay, so there has been other work done beyond what you originally stated in the first post. What is the full story? You can't explain only what you think is important.
Never mind all the various ways you've tried to connect vacuum lines. Hook it up the right way. There is only one vacuum source to the transmission; that is the vacuum modulator and it connects directly to manifold vacuum.
