Am back at work today and I've noticed my truck has developed an annoying habit of stalling when I put it in reverse. Its happened quite a few times now when I get to work and go to park it up. I don't get any codes and it can't be temperature/ run time related as its after a 30 mile journey. When I come to a stop I can put it in reverse, the vehicle will move back about a quarter of a wheel turn and then dies. It restarts without hesitation and continues to drive ok after that.
I don't recall whether I have my foot on the gas or not - probably not as its only just gone into gear. Its on a flat hard surface so its not gradient related.
Recently had a tune up etc and runs perfect all other times.
Any ideas? Is reverse a higher ratio than 1st perhapse?
you might be on the right lines mentioning the idle actually. I've also noticed it is not idleing as fast on start up as before. Used to be around 1200-1400rpm but is now nearer 1000rpm. I'll have a look at the IAC - probably due for a clean.
