I occasionally browse the Excursion for sale listings (just wishing) and I just came across one where the photos seem to show a very strange looking lift.
The description says "This SUV comes with a 4 inch suspenshion lift kit" and other than the spelling that would otherwise seem good to me because I like the idea of lifting the X just a little.
There aren't any photos of the lift itself, but the regular photos of the X look really strange at the front. It looks like some sort of extended shackle at the rear of the front springs with the front left normal and the leaves seem to be arching upward.
The listing on eBay is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Excursion-4x4-DIESEL-3RD-ROW-LIMITED-LIFTED-PRISTINE-CONDITION-/231316494809?forcerrptr=true&hash=item35db8999d9&item=231316494809&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
Strange looking lift??
I don't know that much about Excursions, but that looks really strange to me.
The owner used shackles in the front to get his (or part of his) lift. My springs looked like that too when I had my 2" shackles on. I changed the springs and it's much better.
Looks like the same lift I have on my Excursion. I'm probably going to remove it so that I can fit it in my garage without having to air-down the tires.
