We'll did the re Learn. So I've cleaned the egr, ebp map hose maf and iat2. Turbo has only 8k on it. And all new riff raff boots. It's still has a shutter and still no codes. I'm not sure where to go now.
Unplug the EGR, and try test running it to see if you can get it to act up. Try hard, try and repeat all the places where the circumstances showed the issue before. This is what Bismic suggested to me and it worked like a charm. I tried to get it to chug, smoke and repeat, it was instant solution. Once I got a new EGR I re did the relearn and no more problem.
Mine did the Sam, any time it's under 10 psi and you asked for more it would cause the issue. Unplug the EGR, it's probably not responding and causing the slow increase in boost on acceleration.
Yeah I did the other day but that was before I did all the clean ups. So I guess I need to do it again. Or just put a new egr in. I'm trying everything before I have to send it to a shop. I appreciate you walking me through all this.
So I'm starting to feel a thump or loss of power again in my 2006. It is the same feeling when I was getting an underboost code and I replace the turbo and boots. Now it's doing it and throwing no codes?
I just started getting this.....I think. Its like a gasser misfiring.. It seems to happen with engine under a light load , like a small hill. At first I wasn't sure it even was the engine. I thought it was bumps in the road. Now im pretty sure it is the engine, but it like nothing Ive ever experienced with a diesel.. Like a gasser misfiring is the best way to describe it....
Update we'll thinking it was the egr I ordered a new one and since then have had my egr unplugged we'll the shake showed back up today. Now I'm at a total loss at what this is.
Do you have access to a scanner that you can run a "cylinder contribution test" while this occurs? I think you have an injector dropping out. I just found one on my truck yesterday. My engine runs strong except at 1100 rpm, cylinder 3 is -20%, slacking compared to the others.
Did you try any eliminator and see if it solved it for a little? Also I am wondering if I should just send this egr back now or just go ahead and replace it
Only reason I ask is I have a bottle of archoil 9100 and I won't be able to tear into the truck for acouple weeks
