Another "pink wire" question. Ignition switch end.
Alright, I got around to replacing my pink resistor wire and now I'm stuck.
I can't seem to get the little spade connector out of the ignition switch plastic. It's kinda loose in there, but I can't get it out. I know it has to come out because obviously it went in...
But I'm looking at my wiring diagram, and it looks like the wire on the switch isn't a direct wire to the coil. Looks like it powers other gauges and lights??? Where do I replace it at???
On my diagram, a red-green wire comes out from the coil, then splits into the pink wire (that goes to the ignition switch) and the brown wire (that goes to the starter relay). So, the answer would seem to be where the pink meets the brown.

Yeah, I see the brown wire. It's at the plug on the fire wall.
So I need to tap that brown wire into the coil power wire?
What about the light blue wire that is on the same lug on the switch? Number 932 B on the diagram. That says it goes to the throttle solenoid... What is that?
Ok I think I figured it out. Tell me if this sounds right.
The light blue wire goes to the throttle solenoid, (whatever that is, I'm pretty sure I don't have one) it also ties to the red/yellow wire that runs the dash mounted brake light and brake warning switch. (Neither of which operate on my truck)
So all I need to do, is tie the brown starter solenoid wire into my new power wire and I should be done, right?

My diagram shows the brown wire going from the starter relay to where it joins the pink wire, then the red-green wire goes to the coil.
I don't see a wire on the same lug as the pink one. A blue and a violet are on the same lug, with the violet joining green-red from the regulator, and blue going to the carb throttle switch.
It's possible I am reading this wrong, or your wiring is different.
Remember pinky is bypassed during START to ensure easier light off in cold weather. When the key is released to RUN, then the voltage to coil is dropped by the resistor.
BUT, while I am pretty good with wiring and electronics, I am not very familiar with the wiring in these trucks. So, it looks like you are correct, but I can't say for certain.
