Finished all welding and hit it with more rustoleum before seam sealer
welded in a really thick washer i drilled out for the bushing tube to fit through
painted before seam sealer
painted after seam sealer
painted the outside edges back flat black
Installed new dimmer switch
Cab mount painted after seam sealer and bushing install
Installed my wood wheel i got for cheap and fixed the horn. Now i have to get rid of the button on the dash that was the horn button
Finally replaced the shifter with a truck shifter mounted to the trans
Patched the hole from the previous shifte
I got lucky and took a nice week off. Other then the 95 - 100 degree weather it worked out pretty well. I put in 30+ hours this week on the truck but the biggest things are done. Well mostly....Still need to patch the other cab support.
The worst thing of this week is my stuff dying. First it was the grinder and today...My welder pretty much quit on me. Wont feed wire through just click and every one in awhile it would push wire through...Was really weird but ill look at it later. Might remove the wire and start over. See if it will do anything

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
So you sprayed the tailgate with the Rustoleum - when you paint the truck is that the route you are going to go for the whole thing or are you going to paint it with "real" auto paint?
I've been back and forth on what I want to do with mine, and because I just can't see myself doing tons of bodywork to make everything perfect, I am considering doing a sort of faux-tina shop truck look with Rustoleum. I found a couple guys that did this and I think they have a pretty cool vibe to them and you don't have to fix the dents!

I like that satin red too. I am in the same boat as you - satin red or black. Every time I lean one way I look up trucks the other color and change my mind.
I have all sorts of ideas. I want to put a sun roof on this bad boy. Its just such a stuffy vehicle and i dont have AC. So yeah....lol
I also cut some notches in my console and test fitted some pieces i cut. Nothing is together though
bed liner
testing shifter cutout
May or may not use these. Eitherway checking placement for my speakers
Mostly put together the base of it. Lots left to do
Coated in fiberglass resin
Filled seams/gaps with hot glue and coated with bed liner. Nothing perfect but its for the truck. Waiting on my arm rest piece and then ill build a cubby on the top and attach it. I really should get it covered in vinyl. It would look awesome
