Bulletproof 6.0

Hey Fellas:

Have a 2007 F250 6.0 diesel with the standard issues including misfire at highway speed.

Perhaps a stupid question: Assume the bulletproof kit also cures the stiction problem? in reviewing the threads and looking at the vendors, references are made to fixing the oil cooler issue, egr issue, etc., but no one addresses stiction issue directly.

What kits have you installed and recommend?

Thanks so much.

Lots of discussion about using Archoil. See link below.

I know I started to get what I thought was stiction but it ended up being a stuck turbo unison ring. Once the turbo was back in order, the stiction symptoms went away.

Thanks for the link and reply.

So the bulletproof kits do not fix the stiction problem?
Still have to deal with that separately?

What were the symptoms? I am curious because I am bulletproofed but the turbo has never been touched.

You really need to post in the 6.0 section.
Great amount of knowledge there!

Stiction is caused by injectors. Worst case scenario you will need new ones. They are not part of any bulletproofing.

Here in So Cal, cold is in the 50's. In the morning when "cold," I would get the romps while warming up initially, very similar to those described with stiction. I had to drive it for several miles to eliminate the miss that went along with the romps.
Once warmed up, all symptoms went away.
After the turbo unison ring repair, start up acted perfectly normal again. No romps at all.
Who would have thought?

I thought I had stiction and used the Archoil with minimal improvement. Turns out that 4 injectors were bad so replaced all 8 and had the bulletproofing done (HG/studs) and after K's of $$$ replacing other worn components she drives like new. Are you sure other parts aren't bad that could cause similar issues?

What issues/symptoms do you have?
