Starting Question
1993 f150 350,000 miles: fuel, air and ignition checks good. Healthy spark while cranking using a HEI spark tester, air flow good and 50 psi fuel pressure while cranking. To start the truck (4.9L) I have to turn the key (not crank it) wait about 10 seconds, turn the key off and do this about 4 times. The fifth time I will crank the engine and it starts immediately. If I don't perform this procedure the engine will crank but not start.
Am I warming-up a sensor or charging up the computer, etc.?
