Lift pump replacement
Hi, since I sent my injection pump and injectors in to be rebuilt, I thought it best to change the lift pump on my 1993 non turbo IDI. I purchased one from Orielly along with the bleed off kit for the top of the injectors. My engine still had the original Carter pump painted grey along with the rest of the engine. What I noticed is the arm that is moved by the cam is much different shape on the new one. It is the same length and appears as though it will make contact on the cam. The part# says good, just wanted to see if any of you guys noticed that when replacing yours. I changed one on my 6.9 years ago, but I dont remember noticing the different shape of the pump arm.
