See? That was another wife thing - I'm just grateful it's not pink.

Why yes it is - the 2013 model with KitKat. Awesome tablet and operating system - fast.

The newest picture replaced the old one - so Stinky's cab can be seen in all his glory.

Thanks everybody for all the supporting words! My wife likes it, so my work there is done. Now if only I can fix all the nuances with the way Stinky rides. I have a new vibration and I'm almost certain it's the carrier bearing shim thing. Ugh. At least I can work in peace.

Yup... the switches trade straight over - that part is pretty easy. I'd say the hardest part was getting those !@#$% screws in the back installed through the small holes in the plastic cover (the last step).

Tugly, what brand of dash mat is that?

It looks like it is stiffer than most, and well form fitted into the contours of the top of the dash.

Do you like it? Or do you just live with it in order to keep the top of the dash in tact?

That is the DashMat UltiMat - it is a more precise fit (they use a mold made from our dash). It's weird how it works: It's some form of fabric, but if there is some bend, fold, or bubble that forms during shipping (it's a small package) - you just bend it back to the shape you need. It's not like metal, where bending the shape is absolute - but it took little effort to get the shipping kinks out.

I ordered Caramel color for Stinky's Lariat trim - there is some light reflection on the inside of the windshield when the sun hits just right. I pouted for a minute, then saw a squirrel in the road and forgot all about it... until you asked.

Good job BillyBob!

I studied Tugly's new dash pic, post steering wheel install, looking for a new flaw to tease him about, and came up completely empty handed. Couldn't find anything any "missing teeth". Not even a little piece of spinach in the teeth.

I thought I had something there with the dashmat being out of alignment by one of the HVAC vents, but then I started noticing how good the dashmat was, being form fitted and all, and wanted one for myself.

Thank you for pointing out the reflections. That would seriously bother me.

The dark parchment (almost drab olive) color of the IP cluster surround is a throw back to the old 1979 dash color. The most salient feature of this color is the non reflectivity of the flat muted tone. This is why those rich and fancy looking "burlwood" appearance dash dips don't appeal to me. The high gloss finish creates a dangerous (to me) reflectivity from the sun glint.

I wanted a wood steering wheel like you installed, but nixed that due to the reflectivity as well. I ended up putting on a flat black Genuine Leather, Genuine Ford steering wheel cover on mine for a whopping $17.00.

I'm going to see what other colors the UltiMat is offered in.

Rich a happy wife is a happy life! The steering wheel really was the finishing touch to your dash set up. I love the way you have everything laided out gauge wise!! You already know I dig the tablet set up! But I love the cup holder set up is that stock or aftermarket? What I wouldn't give to have a real cup holder.

Now I would think the new steering wheel would take your mind off of worrying about problems that may be there or one's that really aren't even a issue. Put your hands on the new steering wheel, right foot on skinny pedal, turn up the music, keep a eye on the gauges and enjoy !!

Sorry guys but after reading these 2 comments back to back I thought you where talking about putting the wood in the girl with the missing tooth. I'm thinking why are they picking on the poor toothless chick better yet put the wood...what... where...????????? Then I reread it and I now get the context that it was written. OOOpppsss

That's a Nexus 7 with Torque Pro, and tuning is by Cody on a Hydra.

I forgot how to find the cup holder my wife bought for Stinky, but Robert6401 gave me a lead on it:[LINK]

Proparts P10190, for the 1999 - 2001 Superduty with the center console like this.

I just ordered the cup holder from here:

https://www.xtremediesel.com/propart...ne-holder.aspx

Less expensive than the link Rich provided.
