63 F260 4x4

Ok, this is my first post on this forum so I can't post pics yet. I need some alive on a good Y-Block machine shop in So Cal ? I just bought the truck and the 292 is tired so I bought a 312, and yes verified it's a 312 (has ecz main caps, ecz-g heads, teapot 4v and load-o-matic Dist). Also any input on motor mods, just going to be a weekend toy ( no hauling), not worried about gas mileage. I'm rebuilding the motor and dumping the carb and Dist . Also it's a T98 tranny. I'm new to this vintage truck/ y block thing so any help is appreciated

The Holley "Teapot" 4V carb has a different bolt pattern than the 1957 and later Holley "double pumper" 4V carb. If it's a 312, the Teapot & its specifc 4V manifold is from a 1956 car.

312's introduced in 1956, were not installed in trucks.

Yes, the block and intake are from a 56 and was equipped with the 56 manifold , carb and loadomatic (which I'm not using) and had the ecz-c heads. I do have 2 sets of ecz-g heads, hopefully 1 good pair. I need to find a good machine shop that knows the Y-block.
